Workshops

I run a range of private pottery workshops, including 2-hour taster sessions, a set of three private workshops, group sessions (3–4 people), and a structured 6-week throwing course. After completing the 6-week course, there’s also the option to join the studio as a member.

What types of workshops do you offer?

No experience needed at all. All workshops are suitable for beginners and are taught at your pace.

Do I need any experience?

Are workshops private?

Yes — all workshops are private and held in my studio in Macclesfield.

What should I wear or bring?

Wear clothes you don’t mind getting a bit muddy. Everything else is provided.

Workshops are generally for teens/adults (16+). If you have something else in mind, feel free to get in touch.

Is there an age limit?

Taster Throwing

You’ll spend two hours learning the basics of throwing on the wheel. You’ll make a few pots, and I’ll glaze and fire your favourites for you.

How long is the session?

Taster sessions last roughly 2 hours.

Tasters are usually for one or two people. For larger groups, see the group workshop option.

Regular Throwing

A structured course designed to help you build confidence and skills on the wheel, with weekly sessions over six weeks.

Do I need to do a taster first?

A taster is recommended, but not essential. If you’re unsure, just drop me a message.

How many people are on the course?

Spaces are very limited — I usually take just two students at a time.

Studio Membership

After completing the 6-week course, you’ll be invited to join the studio as a member, with regular access to make your own work.

Membership includes studio access during set hours and support as you develop your practice.

Batch Sales

I release small collections of pottery online, usually every Treacle Sunday (the last Sunday of the month in Macclesfield).

How do I find out when a batch is released?

The best way is to join my mailing list and follow along on Instagram.

Do batches sell out quickly?

Yes — batches are small and often sell out quickly, sometimes in minutes.

Gift Cards

I currently offer gift cards for a 2-hour taster workshop for one person, or for two people.

What gift cards do you offer?

Physical gift cards are posted out, and the recipient can then book a time with me.

How are gift cards sent?

Can gift cards be used for other workshops?
